EpiPhotonics started a joint project with OA Laboratory and Keio University
to develop optical Layer 1 switches for data centers under contract with
NEDO. EpIPhotonics develops larger port count nano-second response optical
switches which will be controlled by SDN so that power consumption will
be significantly reduced.
